GENERAL FUNCTION:
This professional provides direct oversight of supported living and personal care service delivery to assure that participant needs and agency and regulatory requirements are met. Team Managers (TM) develop and manage opportunities for personal growth that satisfy the needs and interests of the individuals served. The TM schedules direct support staff in the delivery of services including managing and training staff according to agency and governmental policies. The TM works with other management and administrative team members in the accomplishment of the program. The TM works with external agents such as service coordinators or regional state staff as required.
The Team Manager typically manages a number of participant homes which includes supervising a team of 10 – 20 Direct Support Workers. The TM is responsible for ensuring all shifts are staffed, procedures are followed, documentation is complete and submitted timely along with multiple other duties. The Team Manager reports to the Director of the Supported living program.
The work week for a TM is not always the typical Monday – Friday. There are sometimes events in which participants are involved or attend requiring evening and weekend presence. If the TM cannot staff an open shift it falls to the TM to fill the shift. The TM is responsible for managing any unforeseen incident or accident involving participants on their team.
